What To Do With A Macbook

Hey All

I have bought an extra second hand macbook pro 2011.. Ya Ya I know Apple, But hey it only cost $90 on the South African second hand market and its what i can afford for study machine,

What can i do apart from the below?

Custom External GPU Egpu

  • Custom Sealed Case
  • Creating My New Liquid For Cooling

Ram Upgrade

  • 8G Ram

Hard Drive Upgrade

  • 120 SSD

Macbook Pro Case Mode

Before I dive deep into it I want to say that I want to keep the entire macbook look but add something almost all macbook pro lack and its cooling and battery life "and YES i know performance plus apple care LoL"

So basically what I have designed theoretically thus far is a new cooling liquid for application use that help out allot for the cpu, for the external a fan will be to bulky so I was thinking on a slim pad that used also liquid cooling that can be 3D printed and then just added cooling to it, as benifit it might be even possible to add the external EGPU to it "WHAT" yes according to what I see here it might be possible.

This will allow to compete with gaming machine as also having the most awesome apple product in the world and YES i think this might be worth all the effort.

If anyone can think of somthing else or new let me know.

Kind Regards:

You actually can't do any eGPU stuff with it since Apple has blocked Thunderbolt 1 and Thunderbolt 2 eGPU setups due to severe lack of bandwidth.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

I'm right. It doesn't work on 10.3.4 or later.

The only issue i can see is the bottle neck in the performance but it can be fix by finding the sweet spot
