Msi Afterburner Wont Save My Temp Limit

pc-

 

i7 3770

12gb ram

amd r9 290x msi lightning

 

in msi afterburner by default it sets my temp limit to 94C which i think is too hot so i want to set it a bit lower like 88 or so but when i choose 88C and then save it just puts the temp back at 94C ive even unlinked the temp limit and the power limit so they were by them selfs but the didn't help
