Monitors randomly loose signal, have to reboot with power supply

I just got a new system, and I just encountered this problem. I was watching a video, when all of a sudden both of my monitors went black and displayed the "lost Signal" message, audio went out and it acted as if it was shut down, but the PC still on and was the same. I had to restart the PC, so I held down the power button, nothing happened so I was forced to use the PSU switch to turn on and off the system. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Try running a stress test on the gpu first and see if the gpu is the cause.
