Asus Xonar DG help wanted!

Xhights

So this Christmas I revived multiple computer upgrades, one of which was the Asus Xonar DG. All installations were going great until it came to the sound card, whereby the sound outputted to my headphones is highly distorted. I have uninstalled and re installed the required drives and found no change until I fiddled around with the Xonar DG Audio Center, in particular the mixer. I found that when both right and left volumes are the same the audio is incredibly distorted, however the further apart they are the clearer the sound, meaning that the best sound is produced when one is at the top and one is at the bottom (This can be seen in the picture below).

Anybody know of a possible fix or do i have a faulty sound card!

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried plugging it into the back of the sound card instead of the front panel?

That's what i'm doing!

I have now plugged it into the front and it works perfectly. I'm guessing there is an issue with the rear connector!

Try installing it in a different pci slot.

It's currently installed in the only pci slot available.
