Its a h60??????

120mm AIOs are almost never worth it over cheaper 120mm tower coolers, performance isn't much better unless you're in an ITX/slim case.

240mm minimum for AIOs

oh nvm this is australia where the dark rock 4 costs $100 and the H60 cheaper, continue on with your day nothing happened

A hyper T4 would still be a better choice as it's only $35 in AUS

Good idea on using Vega, but I'd stick to 8700k since sky high frame rates doesnt suit Ryzens as much as Intel CPUs

It's certainly not worth an extra $300 AUD though for the maybe 20% performance bump on average.

Ryzen also lets you get away with a cheaper cooler for decent temps, like a Hyper T4.

Let's say these are no longer facts, as it depends on multiple factors. Gone are the days when one brand significantly outpaces the other (though the future Geforce 11 series might just do that).

1. Games. Some games prefer AMD cards, some prefer Nvidia.

2. Feature set. AMD's Freesync is cheap to get, Nvidia's Gsync is expensive (As hell)

3. Nvidia cards use less power fr the same performance, compared to AMD equivalents

CPU things are much easier to explain. Single core performance (due to sheer clock speed) of unlocked Intel CPUs helps them outshine Ryzen in high refresh rate gaming, but Ryzen gives more multicore performance for less money making it a go-to choice in building workstations.

The 8700K is faster for gaming but I don't think it's worth an extra $300 over an R5 1600 which is still 6 cores 12 threads.

You're going to end up with a free-sync display, might as well get Vega 56 to make use of it, it's somewhere between a 1070 and 1080 depending on some things.

Well when it comes to playing siege what is the better choice I’m leaning towards an RX to maximise my frames with a free sync monitor but if the 11 series might out do it is it worth waiting?

11 series will come from any time between July 30 to mid August, so I'd wait

Ah cool. I wasn’t planning to get the build until the end of the month so that works out well. So if I’m gonna go a 11 series what sort of build should I have to go with it

Also what are the important parts when it comes to getting high frames out of a game like RSS

Just put everything to the lowest setting.

Weather it's faster or not depends on the game and if you take 5 seconds to undervolt it to like 1150mV or -50mV same thing.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
