WTF

PartyDJ

Sooo... I live in Austria and I made the decision to buy the NZXT H500i and so I went to amazon.de, there it was overpriced and so I looked up some pages and found nothing other than overpriced scams. I went on Newegg and found it for 80€ (which is reasonable when u look at the other pages for 110-120€). I went to checkout and found out that shipping IS 60€ !!!!!!!! Does anyone know where to find a good and not overpriced retailer? Thanks

First, you could really work on the title.

Second, here's the H500 https://www.alternate.de/html/search.html?query=h500&x=0&y=0 shipping is like 3-9€

Good luck!

PS: If you're interested, I have an EVGA GTX1070 FTW Edition for sale for 380€. Comes with the original box, accessories, warranty and bill. Living in the EU, I can send it over to Austria.

Relative to other computer parts, cases are often quite bulky and often heavy items. Normally shipping/freight charges are based on the items dimensions and it's weight. This means they are expensive to ship internationally.

If possible buy from a local physical store to avoid delivery charges all together. Some online computer retailers also have a storefront or even just a pick up area where you can collect goods yourself without paying for delivery.

Uh that's simply what the H500i costs. I don't know what you're expecting here. If you're after the S340 successor, that's the H500 without the i.

No, the link I gave you is the result from a typed-in search: The H500i also figures in the result if you scrolled further down.

The H500i is more expensive because of the included "smart-hub", if you don't need such a hub, get the H500. It's the same product.

the retail price of that case is 100+ anyways, so good luck finding one for less than 80.

or go with the H500-non i version and save yourself a buck. tha 'smart' hub is kinda trash anyway.

NewEgg ships from the US, so you’ll obviously pay a premium for shipping, especially bulky items like PC cases (with fragile tempered glass). On top of that, you will also need to pay taxes on the € 140 (= € 80 case + € 60 shipping).

I thought of that too, but amazon has free shipping thats the first interesting thing, but what shook me the most was that I wanted to try if a regular 30$ psu woukd have the same shipping price and it had. 60$ for a 30$ psu?

That's $100 in America, and does not include sales tax.

USD $100 is 86 Euros, and once you add the 20% sales tax in Austria, that comes to 103 Euros.
Once you add in some profit margin for the store, the prices you're seeing of 110 Euros seem to be pretty fair and reasonable. You also haven't mentioned whether the 110-120 Euro prices included the cost of postage or not.

You're austrian and never heard of geizhals.at because they are austrian and have an austrian URL.

Just use it and check with them.

Try tmall.com

I highly doubt that - in the end - Tmall will be cheaper for customers in Austria ;-)
