Fan filter on exhaust?

So i have a 750D which has three fan mounts ON THE TOP and i have two fans out taking on a 240mm rad but that left me with room for one 140mm fan. I much needed a intake to get positive pressure so i put a 140mm fan as an intake there. All is well except that i put the fan filter back on the top to filter dust, which i have a lot of. Is it okay to have the two fans (High Static Press.) blowing through a dust filter. (Note: Dust filter is fairly open, could probably fit a 0.5mm pencil lead tip through.)

You don't need a filter for exhaust.

Theres one intake fan on the top, take a look at the 750D it has 3 140mm fan mounts with one long fan filter

I think a dust filter is meant to protect not only your computer but also the fans so the fan should be pulling through it.

Unless you have dust already inside your PC, shouldn't have to  for exhaust, but for double measures, why not?

Why not just get a single filter for the one fan and leave the other two unfiltered? No point in having a filter on the exhaust side of a fan since all it will do is catch dust which by extension will not remove it from inside the case. The only time you should filter an exhaust fan is if the PC is in an extremely dusty environment which would require the user to place a filter on the intake side of the fan for easy cleaning.

oh dont complicate it... the guy has a fiter already, his cooling wont suffer because he filters the outtake, ergo, no problem with the filter being htere,,,

The mesh on top of the 750 is barely a filter, you will have no issues having in on there while using exhausts.

Oh ok I didn't understand well, exhaust don't need fan filters since they take air out the case. Intakes has to be filtered though. Also, intakes are usually near the floor where more dust can come from.

yes, placing the filter over the exhaust fans will imped the amount of

air to get out of the case/radiator(s). at least 4°-8° difference on CPU

temperature, 3° on coolant temperature, 2° on GPU(s) on my 750D

build just by removing the top filter.
