What's a very good gaming controller, or 'console like' controller for pc? I had this in mind

I've got rather large hands, playstation and xbox controllers are comfortable to me, n64 are awkward to hold.

I'd rather prefer wireless.

Find a legitimate version of this http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2 and that would be your best bet.

I have a knock off i grabbed off of ebay and have no real issues with it, just had to force the drivers.

Get a wired 360 for PC. Its supported by most new games.... Like 95% of new games. No silly key mapping required.

Its also nice to hold and since the drivers are made by MS they just work better with other things like emulators.

I have a PS2, Wii and DS emulator that the 360 controller works perfectly with.

You can get a wireless adapter for a 360 controller and sync it. However the major downfall of the 360s wireless controller is battery life and the sensitivity of the battery pack. If you touch the battery pack in the slightest it might disconnect. Otherwise the controller is flawless in ever respect.

Fuck it, get an SNES controller.  Their baller and you can pick them up off ebay new for about 6 bucks from China.  Plug and play awesomeness if you ask me.  And you can play every emulator you want as well as normal games and be retro all in a little package

Why not just use a wired Xbox 360 controller? Direct plug and play support in most Windows titles. Else glorious mouse and keyboard master peripheral race.

Yep, got myself a wired XBOX 360 controller for PC and it's simple to use, plug and play, nothing easier than that! No need to configure or map.....it simply works.
