What to upgrade?

Rickkerd

Hey guys!

I think its time to upgrade my pc again!
Im thinking to spend 600,- euro on it.

At first I wanted to upgrade my MOBO, CPU and CPU Cooler.
But a friend told me its not worth it.

I'm just a gamer that plays game like PUBG, Rocket League, Fortnite, ARK Survival Evolved, Call of Duty WWII and FIFA 18.
Also I wanna play F1 2019.

The upgrades I wanted:
MOBO - MSI Z370 GAMING M5
CPU - Intel Core i7-8700k
CPU Cooler - NZXT Kraken X52 AM4 ready

My Specs now:

Case - Sharkoon M25-W 7.1 Black ATX
MOBO - Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming
CPU - Intel Core i7-7700
CPU Cooler - be quiet! Pure Rock
GPU - GALAX GeForce GTX 970 Hall Of Fame
RAM - Ballistix 16 GB DDR4-2666
PSU - Sharkoon WPM700 Bronze, 700 Watt
SSD - Samsung SSD 840 Series - 120 GB
HDD - 2TB

Suggestions now:
PSU -
CORSAIR RMx Series RM650x (80 plus Gold, 650 W)
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming 8G

Maybe you guys can help me out!

Yours faithfully,

Rick

I agree with your friend. If anything, I'd upgrade the PSU and GPU maybe.

Why the PSU? Is 700W not enough?

Not worth it indeed. None of these games are that CPU-heavy.

Quality problems. While I dont have reviews that can show it's bad directly, the 40C max operating temperature (good ones do 50C) is suspicious.

So if I upgrade my PSU to a CORSAIR RMx Series RM650x (80 plus Gold 650W) my PSU will be fine?

Buy a new Gpu e.g 1070ti/1080, vega 56

And maybe upgrade psu, depends if the psu is high quality or not.

a SeaSonic Focus Plus Gold 650W unit will be just fine, no need to go that far actually
