Toshiba HDDs Any Good?

I'm not really versed in the HDD space -- for an upcoming PC build, will a Toshiba X300 4TB HDD (7200RPM) be a good drive for steam games and such, or is it worth the extra money to pay for a 7200RPM drive made by Seagate or WD?. (and is there any difference in speed/reliability between the two?).

 

Also, is it worth it to buy the X300 7200RPM vs a Seagate Barracuda 4TB 5900RPM

I'd get the higher RPM drive for active use (not backup, media storage).  So yes, go with the 7200RPM for gaming.  Or an SSD.

 Sounds pretty good to me. I use an external Toshiba 2TB drive as my non-game drive and I've had no problem with it. Don't see any reason for their internal ones to be any different. Definitely try and get a 7200RPM drive though. If I have one criticism of my WD Blue game drive it's the slower speed.
