Cooler Master Universal RGB LED Strip and Asus Aura

Hi everyone,

So I have a CM Mastercase Pro 6 and I'm thinking of using the CM Universal RGB LED strip(http://www.coolermaster.com/case/case-accessories/unive...) as interior case lighting. I want to connect this to the RGB header on my Asus Prime Z370-A so I can use Aura Sync to control the lighting. I have a couple of questions regarding this;

1. Can I connect this directly to the RGB header coz the images on the CM website show a connector with male pins but no female.
2. If I can't connect directly, is there a way to connect it to be used with Aura Sync.

Thanks.

Haha, well the problem is I don't see a female connector to connect this to the Mobo.

Yes. I found that too. The issue is the connections. Can I connect it directly or do I need a controller separately?

No female connector on the LED strip, at least as far as I can see. I want to know if I can connect this directly to the Mobo and not through a controller of some kind.

OH sorry I don't think you can but this controller is confirmed to work when you plug your male strips into it and using the female out you can connect to your mobo giving you access to the RGB strips through the aura sync software. Sorry for the misunderstanding.  CONTROLLER

No need to say sorry. :):). I was wondering why these were so cheap. But now I know why coz we need to buy another expensive yet unnecessary piece of hardware to make it work :D:D:D

But is there any way to connect these without a controller? May an extension cable or adapter or something??

$8 - Cheaper version (would not recommend) I would pay the extra $5 so your RGB strip doesn't blow your home up ;)

Ok you solved my problem and showed me a way to connect three of these babies together. :x:x

I can buy the splitter in my country, the good one. Out of curiosity I'm asking, can I connect a RGB LED strip (eg: Phanteks LED strip or CableMod ones) to the splitter cable and use it to connect to a Mobo?

What I'm trying to do is to replace the front blue LED strip on the Mastercase Pro 6 to an a RGB one and use Aura Sync to control it. I just need a 12cm piece of LED strip with an extension long enough to reach my RGB header. Can you recommend any good off brand LED strips which I can cut to size and use. As for branded ones, only CableMod ones are the ones I came across that can be cut but they have shorter extensions.
