So I have had some extra time on my hands and i found that Microsoft gives windows server 2016 lincens if you have a .edu email. imagine.microsoft.com this got me thinking... what other lincens can i get for free?

I believe you can also get Adobe programs for free or at a discount.

Unfortunately they don't sell permanent licenses of the new versions anymore :(

As a technology major we received accounts for a service called Microsoft Imagine and yes it gives you product keys for all sorts of particularly expensive pieces of software be it photo/video editing, programming, productivity (office365), or networking. The only one I was really interested in was was Windows Server 2016 Datacenter 64-bit. The terms and conditions wern't particularly strict. Really they just don't want you making money off of it so I installed it in a VM on my FreeNAS server to run Windows applications & services in the background.
