Possible HTC One succesor

After releasing the HTC One, (one of, in not the best phone for the year 2013), but then having a fight with Nokia over selling the One mini and One max, its safe to say HTC has had a pretty mixed year. But it seems like they may be working on a solution to that first problem with Nokia. Many sources are supporting the possibility of HTC releasing a follow up to the One, the One Two (or One 2). We have even seen possible 3-D mock ups, which on its own means nothing(because anyone can make a mock up) but tied in with the other rumors from people in the industry and a judge from the Nokia vs HTC case shows this could be a possibility.

Most sources (including the 3-D mock-up) show a screen size between 4.7 and 5 inches. Based on the design of the original One  a resolution of 1080x1920, and ppi of 441 is to be expected. Continuing with the design of the original One the phone is believed to have 4 mp rear facing camer, a 2.1 mp rear facing camera, and if you talk to those at slash gea.com there could possibly be a dual led flash like on the iPhone. The processor is most likely to be a Snapdragon 800 processor or an 805, and if it is an 805 it would be able to export 4k video. The storage may be anywhere from 16 gb up to 64 gb, with the possibility of seeing micro sd expandability. We also expect to see the dual front facing speakers seen by the original HTC One. Alsothe metal finish we saw with the original One is expected. Lastly, we expect it to run android 4.4 kitkat out of the box, but remember to take these rumors with a grain of salt, you can see my sources below.

Some interesting info from Ubergizmo shows that the One 2 may not even be a single phone but a line of multiple phones, and this may have been done to reach a larger market share both in China and the US. But again remember to take this info with a grain of salt.

A suspected release date is in Febuary or March of 2014, which lines up very well with Mobile World Congress and CES, but these are just speculations. Also the price is speulated to be around $600.

Remember these are all just rumors, and no info that we have now should be taken as fact, between now and the release of the phone many rumors may change.

So are you interested in seeing a sequal to the HTC One. Personally, as an owner of the original OneI hope this phone comes out and does very well, and offers up some benefits and improvements to the original One. Also if you could make your own HTC One Two what specs would it include.

What I'd like to see in this successor:

-At least Snapdragon 805 (the S800, when launched in february will be passé)

-3GB ram or higher

-Size of the phone: the same or a bit smaller

-Similar build quality

-A rear facing camera that combines the current low-light performance with more MP (as in the best of both worlds)

-A slightly bigger battery

-Screen size: 4,7 inch

-If there is a htc logo inbetween the other two buttons, please make it capacitive

-If there is no sd expansion, make it so there is a 64gig version available everywhere

I'd gladly pay up to 750 euros for this.

A man can dream right?

Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - I5 2500K @ 4.5Ghz - Geil Enhance Plus 1750Mhz 8Gb - ASUS ENGTX 570 DCUII - MSI Z68aGD65 - Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B - Samsung 830 128gb and Crucial m4 128gb - much other stuff not worth mentioning

Awesome, you brought up everything I was thinking about, but if they could reduce the black area around the screen and increase it's size slightly that would be a dream. Also if they could still partner with beats or partner with someone else and make great audio.

That'd be solid. If they can get the audio set up in the Vivo Xplay 3S it would absolutely blow anything Beats related out of the water.

If it's a 4.7" screen again, they should be able to shrink the body quite a bit. Edge to edge, please.

Your exactly right but I personally would like it to be 5 inches like the gs4.

It's gonna need more than a 4MP camera to even shoot in 4K... What's your next move, HTC?

All in all though, since I'm not really a wannabe photographer, the HTC One is the best phone I've seen as of yet, I really have high hopes for it's successor :D
