Asus Monitor Freezes and Color Waves

Hey there. I've got an Asus VS Series VS238H-P 23" monitor and have had this strange issue with it. This started several months ago and after letting the monitor sit for a few hours, it was back and working as expected. Fast forward to today and the problem has returned, and letting it sit only temporarily solves the issue. What happens is the colors get screwed up, the monitor freezes, and then a color wave goes across the screen (kinda hard to explain properly). The monitor will unfreeze for a few seconds and then freeze again. I attached a video of what exactly is happening.

The strangest part is that letting it cool down has actually been a temporary fix. The monitor is out of warranty so is there anything I could do by taking it a part? I can't seem to find any similar issues online so I'm baffled. Any helps is appreciated. Thanks!

@dogger20011

this seems to be a controller issue (or whatever its called) inside the monitor, i also have a monitor that behaves like this, unplugging it for a while solves that issue. (ofc im assuming you're sure that this isn't your PC doing this)

it's pretty damn hard to find parts for monitors, i suggest buying another cheap monitor. :/

I hooked it up to another PC and it still has the same issue. I left it off for a while and it is currently working just fine (actually have this browser window open on it). Hopefully it stays that way, don't really want to buy another one :/
