But after a while (30-120min) of using it, Windows start to behave strange. Here the symptoms: - Windows kind of freezes but I can still move the mouse, move windows around, close apps (but the closed apps icons stay in the taskbar). - Youtube videos stop playing. - I can open Taskmanager, but not do anything with it - I can't logoff or shutdown, allways have to use the power button to hard-shutdown What I tried: - run some benc

So i had a forum post in august with a problem while playing GTA V. My game kept freezing for half a second for no reason. The only thing i did was install the Windows 2004 Update and i ended up reverting to the 1909 update to solve the issue. Now we come to the present day. Yesterday I installed the 20H2 Fall update and now the same problem is back. I noticed it first on Watch Dogs Legions but thought it was the game bugging since it is pretty buggy with all the save corruption and random crashes going on. But now I played the OG if the problem GTA V and I instantly noticed the freezes

Hi guys, I am still having a lot of trouble with my PC freezing. It has frozen twice today when I was working in Adobe XD (not a heavy program I think? used for making web mockups so basically just arranging shapes and text, not art or rendering or anything like that) and writing an email. That's literally all I was doing. I called the computer store that I bought all my parts from and of course they want me to bring it in. I really don't want to take it in (I live very rurally so it's a long drive in, a 4-hour round trip \(〇_o)/) and pay for them to run diagnostics. The PC isn't even a m

Hi, I mounted a new PC for Gaming / Work purpose but I have freeze of death (I need to hold the On/Off button to restart). The freeze occurs randomly (in game, on windows, ...). I made some tests : - Drivers are up to date (as Windows) - I launch Heaven benchmark : it crash two times, then I put PSIE setting to 3 in BIOS (instead of Auto) and benchmark run nice two times. - I made some stress test with OCCT : 60°C top for CPU (100% use during 5 minutes) : works fine, but crash when I click on the "OK" button (I can move the mouse, but when I click : boom) 65°

so, recently my PC has been at random "freezing", sound continues to play, i can still talk on discord, but the screen is either locked or black, i cant pause spotify but it will continue playing without issue. i've ran stresstests on CPU and GPU now, 0 errors when both ran at 100%, but when i play a game it usually wont last longer than a few minutes, i've been running it for about 30 min now out of game 0 issues, there isnt any performance issues running up to the "freeze" it just happens, sometimes i can play for hours on end no issue, but recently its barely been 30 at most, and that

I play my games (as one gamer does), and after some time, they will just either crash, or more likely freeze and I need to task manager them. It seems to take longer for it to happen in fullscreen than borderless windowed. Then weird thing is, it stopped happening in Minecraft and Among Us (obviously I haven’t tested every game), but it still happens in other places, such as Project Winter. I have reinstalled graphics drivers (I have the latest NVIDIA ones), updated Windows to the latest release, and done the old turn-off-and-on trick. I have also tried, according to a post, to turn off Xbox G

My Problem: My computer randomly freezes and does a BSOD (during anything) occasionally only when there is a GPU plugged into the PSU. It works perfectly otherwise. Context: I built my first computer a few years ago, I left out the GPU because it was expensive and I wanted to see if I could at least get something working. My build was pretty cool and worked perfectly until I tried to finish the build by adding a graphics card this year. In July I attempted to install some Sapphire GPU, it would cause a BSOD a few times a day and after trying a bunch of things I decided to

Just built a new computer. Got into bios, first thing I did was update the bios. After that was complete. I loaded windows 10 into a USB Flash drive via the Microsoft website Installed windows 10, It restarts, Gets to the Getting Devices Ready dialog, then reboots (I think) after Post, and then the turning bubbles loading freezes and the computer can't progress. Then I decided to downgrade the bios to the previous version. Same Issue. SSD is GPT, USB flash is FAT32, UEFI. MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK LGA 1200 Intel Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 16GB Kit 3200Mh

2 days ago gta started giving me some freezes. They usually are up to 1 second long and there are no patterns to the time they are apart. 2 days prior the game ran fine without a problem the only thing that changed was that windows finally installed the 2004 update. I tried verifying the game files and it did install some direct X stuff but the freezes stayed. Now I'm reinstalling the game but I doubt it will help since I tried 2 different installs (epic and Rockstar). I'm thinking about uninstalling the latest windows update but I don't know if that is worth it and if it will even work s

Hello. I have desktop with Ryzen 2700x, GeForce 1050, windows 10 64bit on NVMe M.2 SSD, 1 sata SSD and 1 sata HDD, 32GB (8*2+16) DDR4 RAM, ASUS B450 mainboard. My PC freeze randomly, but complete stuck - rather soft. I'll call this phenomena as just 'freeze' for this topic. Mouse moves, and running programs works well. Only tasks that require read something from drive didn't work; open file, open new program (including task manager), read file by already running programs, etc. By observing task manager and resource monitor (start with booting and wai

Hi all, I recently put together a somewhat new PC and I'm having troubles with a weird lag I've never experienced before. The computer will occasionally freeze, sometimes in games, other times just browsing the web for anywhere from 5-20 seconds, but I can still hear my friends in Discord, still move my mouse, and ads or countdowns will continue as normal. In league of legends it froze once in champ select but I could still see the timer count down from 5-0 then it was stuck for another 10 seconds at 0, or while in a game the screen freezes and I can still see scrolling ad banners

Hello everyone, I have purchased an Elgato HD60 PRO about 7 month ago on amazon warehouse deals. Ever since I got it I wasn't able to get it work in my PC, so I thought I would turn here for any suggestions on what could be the issue, hoping I can breathe life into it as my return has long gone on the item Here is exactly what happened so far: So upon the first installation of the card, I booted up my PC, went to download the Elgato capture software, which upon opening did not recognize any device... I rebooted making sure everything was installed proper, but still didn't recognize

I first got my pc pre built and the psu that came with it is a trash integrator 500w one. Recently I started experiencing 1 seconds freezes with a small buzz in my headset. Also sometimes it freezes for 2 - 3 seconds without a headset buzz but it freezes the whole pc. It also makes the same sound my pc makes when its booted up when this happens. This happens very infrequently (1 - 2 times a day) so it's not an issue at all but I was wondering could this be my psu. I'm upgrading it soon anyway but I'm wondering if it can wait a month or 2.

If any of this helps, its a no battery, plugin windows 10 laptop Running on some form of Intel core i3, This is my grandfathers old laptop so that would explain problems but, when I started using it, it was fine. I went through google finding simple ways to speed it up and it seemed to work, and I continued to use it for a while, and literally overnight, so much as opening google would max the CPU, and if I close any tab, incliding task manager, by hitting the x in the top right, it freezes for 20 minutes, if I luckily get a game to load I need to sit and let the textures and models load in fo

Most of the time this happens while gaming or under load but sometimes happens while game is paused or just on desktop. It freezes up. I have no audio and input/output stops. Errors occur in this order. The previous system shutdown at 6:57:19 PM on 2/17/2020 was unexpected. The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
