Boring Boxes

Why are GPU boxes so dull nowadays, you look at any nvidia or AMD box now its just bland, I remember the good old days of GPU box art

Screw that. Do it the razer way and have the graphics card hovering in a glass display. I don't care how much that adds to costs I want that done.

For me, it doesn't really matter. I look for stats when buying a new GPU and the box just lands in the Case box anyways. I'm not going to display it of anything. And my excitement comes from seeing that sexy GPU not a box

I wouldn't consider them more boring, just 'plainer' they are however of a higher looking quality than the boxes you gave as examples. More likely because nowadays people are more likely to see the actual card on a video online as apposed to seeing the box in a shop window and being influenced to by it that way.

I like the simple design more than character design like we used to have.

TBH i don't care how a box looks like from the outside, i only care about how secure is inside after that i just put it in a pile of stuff until the warranty expires

We had games that looked like this back in the old days.

 

 

Wouldn't you want to show off to the potential buyers that you can get a full, 3d rendered model in your games?

These days, we know what were getting when we buy a GTX 760 to put into our systems.

That's also why EVGA throws in a pretty poster with a bunch of swords.

 

I on the other hand, like the clean looking boxes.

The Corsair h100i box made my minimalist insides tingle.

They came to sanity. I prefer the newer boxes by a long shot.
