Router crashing when downloading large files

Hi,

Whenever I would like to download a huge file, let's say a game or even Netflix, my bridget router will crash after a while. Would it help if I buy a switch, and then connect my PC and bridged router to the switch instead of my pc directly to the bridged router? So Fiber > Router > Switch > Bridge AND PC?

My network at the moment

What model is the bridged router?

Adding a switch won't help the matter though since the traffic is still going to hit the bridge

The router is a TP-Link WDR 4300

I would like to connect the PC to the switch, so the data will not go to the bridged router but will go straight to my PC through the switch

Ah, I read that backwards.

I thought you wanted to go Fiber > Router > Bridged Router > Switch > PC

If you go Fiber > Router > Switch > Bridge AND PC, then you should be fine

It was first meant as a way to have a WiFi network upstairs, but I didn't want the standard things like DHCP, etc. Because I did not have a switch, I opted in to connect my pc to that router

Yeah I mean Fiber > Router > Switch > Bridge AND PC, sorry that it was so unclear

All good, I just can't read properly today xD

That setup would take the load off the bridge router and it shouldn't have any more issues.
