Im at my cousins place for christmas, he lives far away and we dont go there often. He bought 2 fans for his pc and asked me to put them in. I did this and the pc did nothing. It didnt boot, no lights, fans didnt spin and no image.

I removed the fans from the psu and retried and the pc started, but still no image. Tightened every cable and retried still nothing...

I have no idea what to do now, help is much appreciated.

Ps. The fans I installed were installed like this: psu to molex to molex to fan adapter.

Can you plug them in straight to the mobo. Maybe the shitty psu couldn't handle the extra tiny load?

Oh, you made your first mistake. I tend to not use someone else's pc because if something goes wrong, even if they are the ones responsible for the system being in a poor state, YOU get blamed for it. Did you check to see if something was making contact to short something out? Adding a couple of fans shouldn't result in death. S:

Try taking out the GPU and running off the iGPU on the processor and see if it works.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

I built his pc and I did not expect it to have any risks installing 2 damn fans..

Fair enough and yeah, that seems weird how 2 fans could result in this. Maybe you should take everything out of the case to test it?

Running of iGPU works.

The weird thing is: I plugged everthing in and now everything works: all fans, and the gpu fan. But dvi from gpu to monitor still doesnt get me an image. Any ideas?

Maybe the connector decided to fail when you took it out to install the fans :(

The connector on the GPU might've somehow become damaged
