RGB or lack of

Hi I got a really good deal on a gigabyte gtx 1080 oc, it's the non rgb windforce edition, I'm just wondering is there a way to add some rgb to it, example a 3d printed cover over the plate

All you could do is attach an rgb strip around it, otherwise that's why they make the rgb models.

I want it to be subtle not in your face

coat the rgb strip in multiple layers of opaque nail polish until you get the desired level of dimness?

its more the side I want to do, where it has gigabyte text

This voids all warranty, and fans typically have the LED's on the outside bracket.

Another option would be buy a rgb heat sink and fan cover

Draw over the RGB strip with some markers. That should make it dimmer.
