so im looking for a small(ish) water cooler for my 1950x. i want somthing quiter

and went around to find this "NZXT Kraken X52" in a store close to my house.

will this be enough for a overclocked 1950x. somthing around the 4.1ghz overclock?

 

there is a bigger ver of the same cooler only bigger but i dont think it will fit in my case.

 

cpu: 5950x

mobo: asus tuf pro x570

gpu: 3090 FE 

ram: 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z 3200 c14

psu: Antec HCP1300w Platinum (overkill i know...got it for a good price)

 

thats all needed right?...i didnt study for this exam....

Depends on what you want, it wont be super cool, but it won't thermal shutdown either. Having said that 4.1 GHz all core on the 1950X can be difficult to achieve anyway. I used a H100i v2 on my 1950X for a while so I would assume it is comparable.

I don't think so.  

I have run 4.1ghz but on the enermax 360 with the full size contact plate and it was still up in the high 70s under sustained load.  The issue with the other coolers besides enermax and noctua is the contact plate is too small for the huge ass die on the 1950x.  

Maybe my chip isn't as good as the one you have and you'll be able to do it, but I don't think mine would.

hi if u ask me 70 on high sustained load dosent sound bad.
