860 evo or MX500

Go to solution Solved by yummiesttag,

I’ve chosen to keep the MX500

I bought both drives off Amazon the evo was $79.99 and the MX500 was $69.99 they seem to perform the same. Which one is the better one? I plan to return on just wasn’t sure which one. It’s use case is running windows and a game or two along with usual programs.

Buying PC parts like that seems a bit strange, if you wanted to know which one was better then you should have asked here before you bought one.

The 860 is technically better in performance. It's not by much at all though so it's really up to you. I do think Samsung has longer warranty periods for their ssds vs most other brands.

This.

Hmm interesting. There mx 300 was a 3 year warranty like most other ssd brands. Wouldn't have thought they would change. The more you know. Well I guess it would come down to the difference in performance which is quite small. Honestly I don't think many could even perceive the difference.
