is a used Corsair AX850 worth buying?

I'm looking at a used Corsair AX850 for €130/$153. is that worth it?

Yeah, sure. PSUs last for ages, so if you buy a 2-3 year used one, it should work just fine for years. Though I wouldn't take it if it was pegged 100% at all times or if it was used in a case with no cooling and was overheating frequently/ never cleaned. As long as it was used in normal conditions and well taken care of, I see no issues. 

 

It's different with GPUs, because you never know how far the owner pushed them. And how much they were used, were they running hot.. PSUs are much easier to deal with.

I'd say no. You can get a NEW SuperNova G3 850w for that which is a great unit and you don't have to deal with all the hassle of buying something used.

and how many 8-pin connectors  for the cpu does it have? I need 2.

Absolutely not worth it. The AX850 is ancient, came out around 2010.

No, AX860 is already pretty old too and not worth the money.

Get an EVGA G3 for a lot less.
