As we know many sellers sell (used, new, new but opened to test) GPUs and mentioning that SEAL is in place and GPU in unopened (Seal not removed), in that way they underline that GPU is in perfect condition

BUT there are plenty of little details on the back of the GPUs which can be fixed or resoldered I think...

1. I know that if GPU has seal removed that means that it could be disassembled for some good or bad reason. Overall BAD...

2. If GPU has seal in place and it isn't opened, there can be still some parts replaced or resoldered or fixed right from the back side? Capacitor, chips, other little parts.

or mainly replacing or resoldering parts happens on the front side and not the back?

3. The main question is that if GPU has the seal in place, how many % chance is there that it still can have some parts replaced/fixed/etc. ? ? ?

and how good is that argument when they sell used GPUs?

Well you won't know until you receive it will you. If you see clear tampering then you file a return and get a refund. In the meanwhile you have to trust the seller and go by feedback and reviews etc.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...

if its fishy, dont buy it , simple

Right but I'm not buying a GPU but I want to review this topic for some information...

Cos I see that many sellers are mentioning that SEAL thing and sometimes the situacion looks too good to be true.

If I sell a video card I will not say anything about SEAL, I just say that is in good condition, upload some test/images and actual pictures...

But when they saying that seal is in place and GPU is not opened it always makes me think the opposite...

Look, if it says its sealed then you have to take their word for it if you want to buy the product. This is what after sales support is for and why sometimes it is well worth buying from a seller that has a particularly good track record in this sector.

I don't get what you are trying to achieve here.

people mention the seal because it is an asset to the product you're trying to sell.

generally, a sealed product is worth more than an unsealed product, for warranty reasons.

i have personally never experienced that someone soldered somethingon a secondhand GPU, with or without seal. that's not something that's frequently done by normal consumers selling a product, because you'd need specialist equipment to solder something that small. especially if it's a surfacemount chip or something, you'd need a microsocope to mess with that stuff!

so yeah, they mention it because it makes the product worth more.

If you're comfortable paying the potential price premium for a card mentioned as having the tamper evident seal intact and trust the seller (with feedback/review in mind) then it's worth it. Personally, as a buyer, I don't care much as I can see how some people place value on that seal and it provides enough incentive for some sellers to mention that in their listing. I would rather weigh other things more heavily. As a seller, none of my GPUs have that seal because I change TIM and clean out dust from under aluminum plates and/or watercool them to keep low temps (temps and cleanliness to my liking because OCD), but I'd also not sell them cheaper just because of the seal being removed. I take good care of my stuff and I will price accordingly and it'll sell to anyone who finds them worth it, just like any buyer should only pay what they think it's worth.
