Try downloading some FPSs on your Android phone first. IMO controls are horrible so I don't play them.

If you like touch screen controls and want to spend money, then give it a shot.

did you try installing it on your laptop yet? its free so there no harm in trying .. I think your laptop will just barely meet the requirements.

Err, for Something like fortnight you really want something like the A9 or better.

Even Android phones with similar specs to older iPhones are running Android and lack APIs that enable the iPhone to be so good at gaming.

The cheapest iPhone is the iPhone SE which has the Apple A9 SoC. It would run Fortnight pretty well however there might be a new entry level iPhone at WWDC

I wouldn't because I've used the controls and they are horrible. I don't see fortnite as an incentive to buy an iPhone, even an old one. Like @arnavvr said, pubg mobile is available. If you really want roto play fortnite that bad then use the money that you would use to buy a cheap iPhone to help buy a new PC.

The only reason I'm here is that I have homework that I don't want to do

PC  Specs   CPU: Intel Celeron N3060 |GPU: Intel HD graphics 400 |RAM2 gigs  |STORAGE16 gigs

It took me half an hour to find where to change my signature :(

Honestly, it would be a better idea to put that money into a used console at that point. While paying for online access is ass, having touch-screen based controls is more ass. And at least you could also play other desktop-class games (which wouldn't be possible with that iPhone SE).

But when we start talking about a $200+ iPhone, I'd just buy an off-lease office PC with an i3, i5 or Xeon, drop in a GT 1030 and have at it.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/273202069718 - This, a 4GB DDR3 DIMM and a half-height single slot GT 1030 ought to do it. it might be tougher to get these types of machines in India, but I can't imagine that it would be out of reach compared to an iPhone in local currency.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 512GB SKHynix PC401, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 2x Micron 1100 256GB SATA SSDs | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! Pure Wings 3 | Case: Sliger SM580 (Black) | PSU: Lian Li SP 850W

Server: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Crucial DDR4 Pro | Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS AC-HES | Storage: 128GB Samsung PM961, 4TB Seagate IronWolf | GPU: AMD FirePro WX 3100 | Cooling: EK-AIO Elite 360 D-RGB | Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow (White) | PSU: Seasonic Focus GM-850

Miscellaneous: Dell Optiplex 7060 Micro (i5-8500T/16GB/512GB), Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q Tiny (R5 2400GE/16GB/256GB), Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF (i5-6400/8GB/128GB)

I think you'd be able to get a "decent" desktop for the price of an Iphone
