Left Earcup Issues with AKG K182

The left earcup is noticeably quieter than the right. It's not drastic, but it's quite noticeable. If I push on the side of the earcup the audio returns back to normal for around a second, and fades back out. If I listen to certain types of music (mostly with high pitched strings, for example) I can hear a tinny buzzing sound as well.

 

I really don't want to RMA these, because I've already done it once for the same issue. Am I doing something wrong to the headphones? I treat them well, I've never dropped them, the most wear they get it me putting them on and off.
