What thermal paste is best for this build?

Phantonex

For a locked CPU, any thermal paste is fine. Arctic Silver 5 or Noctua NH-T1 are great solutions on the cheap.

Even the thermal paste included with the hyper 212 should be good enough. There is only a couple of degrees difference between the top thermal pastes which would not really matter considering you have listed a locked cpu.

What thermal paste should I get for this build? Thanks in advance!

An R5 2600 is a better value CPU, the stock cooler is mostly fine on it as well. Could upgrade to X470 or an R7 chip easily, moterhboard may need a bios update.

Should either get a 1070ti, or better yet live with a 1050ti for now and buy a next generation GPU in a few months with all the money saved

you want a 240GB SSD minimum

Buy a case with actual airflow

If you plan to do gaming over Wifi you'll want a PCI-e wireless card

You dont need to buy windows you can install it without a key using microsoft's media creation tool.

Should buy this monitor instead.

did you buy a used cooler so that you need thermal paste? if so get something like mx4 or nth1 whichever is the cheapest, NT-H1 has slighly better peformance over mx4 and it is supposed to last longer. But if your cooler is new, just the one included, there no need to waste 6 usd on thermal paste at that budget unless you really want to

The paste that comes with Evo is fine. You won't get noticeable improvements from premium pastes. If you want actual improvements for performance, go for better cooler.

Case is fine for airflow. Just needs more fans to achieve it.
