Remove sticker residue from cpu

I recently bought a core 2 quad, and the retards that shipped to me had a sticker on it, now how can i remove this glue stuff from the metal part?

When doing anything that involves sticky stuff, and a computer, isopropyl alcohol is probably your best bet. Make sure not to use too much, though.

Already tried that, no luck.

Vegetable oil and dish soap to clean up any remainders and all the oil.

sometimes duct tape works. just repeatedly sticking fresh parts of the duct tape adhesive to the unwanted residue usually lifts it up, has been a decent go-to for me before trying the messier liquid options

Go with a stronger solvent, if isoporpyl doesn't work you can try stepping up to acetone or naptha just becareful around plastics or wood tables as it will damage them.
