Should you correct strangers who think something of you that isn't true?

In my own opinion, I would say that you should tell them that the insults weren't directed towards them and that you didn't even know they were there. I know people here are saying that they don't care because it's a stranger, but from a practical standpoint, you don't know if you'll run into them in the future or who they know.
And even so, they might be the type of person that takes it seriously when they believe someone else has insulted them, and for their sake, I would just let them know that it wasn't towards them.
