WD Black 1TB makes whine at shutdown..

Originally had a WD Blue and it has this noise, went to a WD Black and it still has that squeal on shutdown. Anyone know what it might be? Thanks in advance.

(noise is around 0:03)

I can't hear it in the video but my guess is that it's coil whine from the psu or graphics card.

It’s nothing to worry about though, right?

That’s normal though, no need to replace it again, right?

sounds pretty normal to me.

You have backups so if it does die you don't lose anything, right?

Check the smart data of the drive with something like crystal disk info.

Nah, won’t RMA it if the drive is healthy. Just wanted to make sure. :)

That was a great interpretation. I can confirm my hard drive does not make that noise.

Yep, I got backups. I will check the smart data when I get home. Thank you for the reassurance! :)
