Buy a 2 DIMM configuration of the RAM (in your case 2x4 GB) instead of 1x4 + 1x4 config.

I would not recommend you play on WiFi but I guess it's up to you.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure you can get a Seagate BarraCuda 2 TB 7200 RPM for 10 bucks more than the current one right now. It might not be a huge speed difference but 10 extra dollars for another TB doesn't sound so bad to me.

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.

I wouldn't be spending that much money on fans when there are other areas of the build that are clearly lacking...

As @Red :) suggested, get a matched kit of RAM. Also try and get a faster speed.

Use the money saved from dumping the useless fans to get better peripherals.

WiFi isn't that bad as long as you have a good connection. I played on it for years.

Like what others have said, matched kits and faster speed RAM would be preferred especially with Ryzen.

But it can't be too fast to save a buck. So DON'T run out and buy 8 GB (2x4 GB) 4.2 GHz RAM.

That's too fast and expensive for gaming.

Or else.... Build something like this for now...ND pop in a GPU later on. .. Nvidia will be releasing it new GPUs in upcoming months....And this rig is still capable of playing games at 1080p LOW-MID settings that too even without a GPU..

Hey OP. First off, we want to say thanks for considering Seagate!

Secondly, the BarraCuda you've listed is a 2.5", 5400 RPM (Revolutions Per Minute). So for performance, you might want to look around for the 3.5", 7200 RPM version of the BarraCuda (capacities 1-3TB) instead if you can find one for around that price bracket.
