I7 8700 motherboard

Hey, people.

I want to upgrade my CPU to a i7 8700. I'm not into overclocking, which is why I'm going for the non-K variant.

Anyway, I will need some motherboard. My only requirement is that it should have decent VRM and cooling for it, and it should be able to sustain max turbo clock for long periods of time.

I was looking at one of the bellow boards.

Initially I wanted the AORUS H370 for its wifi, dual bios and there is a promo which gives me Far Cry 5 for free, which is sweet. But I read the power phases are doubled on this one, so I don't know what to say.

Any opinions?

Well I'm using a B360-F Gaming and it's served me well. But if you got the Z370 option, go for it. It will almost certainly got better power delivery and more features

grab the unlocked chip if its only $20-30 more

even with 8700 being locked, it would be slower out of the box

And it will stress out the VRMs on the cheaper boards because it goes WAAAAY over the rated TDP.

The cheapest 8700K I found is about $400, while the cheapest 8700 is about $345.

As I said, I'm not gonna overclock, mostly because I don't want to invest in an AIO. Overall performance at stock speeds is nearly identical on both models.
