Does anyone know the boot speed of a Samsung 970 pro nvme ssd?

Cant find it anywhere.

Infinitesimally shorter than a standard SSD in almost all but the most extreme of cases.

 

It's also going to vary a lot by hardware and other factors as well. There is no "X drive will boot in Y seconds" because there are too many variables to factor in.

Probably 10 seconds or so but a SATA SDD that's much cheaper will boot at pretty much the same rate.

why are you getting a 970 pro? the speed differece compared to a evo is tiny and almost all users don't need the endurance. 

 

Id get a 500 or 1tb 970 evo.

 

Boot time is fast, but not much faster than a normal ssd, and can be longer due to waiting for the pcie device to initilize.

many people don't realize this is a thing when getting a PCIe SSD. hell, my Plextor PCIe drive even takes me through an entire extra splash screen upon boot!
