15" vs 17" debate

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

They arent that different to me, unless the 17" one doesnt fit in your bag.

The 15" here is bad though, because the 7300HQ is weak. While the 17" lacks an SSD which is bad, at least swapping it in later is doable.

just needed help settling a debate

Would an Alienware 15" laptop

Processor: Intel Core 7th Generation i5-7300HQ Processor (Quad Core, up to 3.50 GHz, 6M Cache, 45W)
Windows 10 Home 64bit English
1TB 2.5inch SATA3 Hard Drive 512e 2.5 inch (7200 RPM)
500gb M.2 SSD
8GB DDR4 Non-ECC SDRAM 2400MHz (1x8GB)
15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Anti-Glare 300-nits Display
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB

be better than an Alienware 17" laptop

The only difference I see is the SSD and CPU, while my friend thinks the 17" laptop is better than a 15" laptop because of screen size when gaming. does 15" actually make a difference

I'm used to using SSD's as I'm using a 11" MacBook air for school right now but does an SSD really make that much of a difference

I'd get the 17'' one use its HDD in my PC and buy a 240gb cheap SSD for it... then again I don't game on notebooks so I don't need much storage.
