I choose some parts from a Swedish site that lets you pick anything and they will build it for you. I choose that site because they give you the option to finance instead of paying it of right away. Although i need a bit of help with parts. I dont know if everything is compatible and ect. Here is a list of what a i choose.

NZXT H440 New Edition Silent Ultra

Corsair CX850M, 850W PSU

Intel Core i7-8700K Processor

Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Kylare

Ballistix Sport DDR4 32GB WHITE

ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming, S1151

ASUS GeForce GTX 1080Ti ROG Strix Gaming

Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 PCIe SSD

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5'' HDD

Okey so with this build, can i overclock the CPU to 5ghz or more? Or do i have to choose a different motherboard and a more powerfull CPU cooler. And how will i go about overclocking it? I have seen people overclock the 8700k to as much as 5.7ghz.

what resolution and framerate? According to your last post, its 1080p in which a 1080ti is so overkill. As well as the 32gb

Mostly 1920x1080 but i might do some 4k in the future. I also do a lot of intense renders in C4D using Octane so i do need that extra power. As far as gaming goes, mostly play at 1920x1080 in most games.

Get a 1060, no point in getting a GPU thats going to be outdated by the time you start gaming in 4k.Yes you can probably OC past 5ghz

don't buy something now that you don't use. good 4k gaming at decent framerates needs a 1080 or above. Either you shell out the money now for a 4k rig or you buy a card that can do it when you are actually playing 4k. there is no point otherwise. your graphics card will lose value and better tech will be available for cheaper.

everything else is looking good.

@App4that And do i do that in the BIOS?

Yep, that takes going into the bios.

Also buy the best graphics card you can. I still use my 980ti that was purchased when I only had a 1080p monitor. Now one feeds a 1440 144hz display and the other a 4k. The better a graphics card, the longer you can use it.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

@SHROUD Emmmmm? Why would it not? An ASUS GeForce GTX 1080Ti ROG should have no problem running any game whatsoever at 1080p...

I know that 1080ti is one of the very best GPU out their....ND no wonder it can get very high frame rates at 1080p with tweaked settings....but just increase every present to ultra ND watch the 1080ti struggle...

1080ti is an awesome card...but u shouldn't say that it crushes any game at 1080p.....even a 1080ti has it's limits...

Yes but you have take the CPU and the RAM into consideration. That comparison video you linked used the GTX 1080TI EVGA SC2 Version and he also only had 16 gb of ram and the CPU had 4ghz. If i overclock my 8700K to lets say 5ghz or more maybe i could get a lot better results.

That video shows that the 1080 ti is pushing 145fps. If that isn't crushing it then I don't know what is.

Try to expand ur mindset.....if u call getting such small fps as overkill....then....just think of future gen of gpus..

In the beginning that 1080ti was struggling to get 80-90fps at 1080p ultra

No it wasn't. Try watching the video properly.

The framerate dips were when he zoomed into the map. Listen to what the Guy talks about ;)

You don’t need a 750w get a 650w gold, and you’ll be drawing under 400w in demanding games so you’ll be in the sweet spot for your psu.

Not to mock but lol at 1080ti’s bottlenecking on 1080p on any setting

The 1080 ti is overkill for most games, but the op mentions he is doing rendering as well.
