1080ti vs pubg

maybe power? i have a corsair 650w gold plus

Definitely not a power issue.

You had mentioned that you uninstalled the driver which mostly "fixed" the FPS issue but you are now capping at about 87% usage, did you ever reinstall to the latest driver?

If not, i'd recommend getting the latest drivers by NOT using GeForce experience, but rather by going to nvidia.com > Divers> GeForce Drivers > manual driver search for you video card > choose the latest result (version 397.31) > Check "Perfrom Clean Install" Box > Choose custom install > Uncheck the GeForce Experience Feature.

The forum thread i linked previously required that the divers were installed this way, as the GeForce experience version was what was causing the GPU usage issue.

If you have already GeForce Experience, I'd recommend uninstalling it, then installing the drivers using the steps above, then if you really want Geforce Experience reinstall it from Nvidia.com after you're already on the latest drivers. Just avoid updating the drivers through Geforce Exp. until you rule it out as being the issue.

PUBG may be the most popular worst optimized game ever made.

Don't mind it man, PUBG is infamous for being poorly optimized, especially with the recent patch rollout.

I get around the same frames too on my 1080Ti so don't fret.

Something seems off to me. Could it be CPU limitation? Which processor do you have? Whats you GPU usage in game? it should be constantly 99% or so

My 1080 + 8700k gets consistent 100 + FPS (120 AVG) at 1440 med/high in PUBG.

I set shadows to medium and I do 4k 120ish fps, with 8700k @ 5ghz. Everything else ultra. Though my video card is overclocked to 2060mhz underwater...

You must have one of the new 4k 120hz or 144hz monitors. Hitting 4k 120FPS in Pubg?.

With my 1080 on medium I see between 90-140.

With my titan black on very low I get the same FPS.

Depends on the map and type of servers you get. Tpp seems to be smoother than fpp but only good people play first person.

Id just watch the card via gpuz and ensure it’s running like it should compared to a benchmark.

Same with the ram. My cpus sit between 50-65% so that shouldn’t be an issue if they are running on default settings.

Ok. Well your processor is good enough to where it shouldn't be bottlenecking. But something is holding you video card back from going full %100

May possibly be a driver thing? I had a similar issue once. Fixed using DDU + reinstall driver.

No the rest shouldn’t matter if the game is on an ssd. Are you watching the usage of everything in the system, along with gpuz and seeing what’s listed as the perfcap reason?
