GT 1030 with i3-8100 PC Build!

Hello Everyone! Hopefully you all have a good day!

Im about to build my first ever PC and I think the gt1030 is enough since im only playing e-sport games.(Like CS:GO and PUBG)

Here is the build;

CPU: i3 8100

GPU: MSI GT 1030 AERO ITX 2G OC 2 GB

Motherboard: MSI H310M PRO-VDH Intel H310 8th Gen Intel Soket 1151 DDR4 2666MHz

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB 2666MHz DDR4

Case: CORSAIR CARBİDE SERIES CHAMP/SPEC-04 RED/BLACK MidT ATX Case

Power Supply: Corsair VS Serisi VS450 CP-9020096-EU 450Watt 80+ PSU

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Have seen in benchmarks that i get minimum and maximum 29-50 fps on pubg in 1080p, but in 720 I wont get lower than 60 fps.

In CS:GO doe Im getting around 300 fps on 1080p low settings.

What do you guys think? Share your thoughts thankyou all <3

That PSU really isn't recommended for a new PC. Pretty poor quality. Try to get a CX450 or 450M instead. Otherwise, should be a decent budget build for now.

Why not go for a Ryzen 5 2400G? Same performance for less money (and a better CPU overall).

personally id grab a 2200G/2400G instead of the 8100 with the 1030. you might have to pick up a 16 GB kit instead, but you will be able to upgrade with a GPU later on while not really sacrifising performance.

you will also end up with a nice CPU at the end of it. meawhile being cheaper. also id see if you can get a 60 GB ssd for a bootdrive as the OS will hate being on a HDD

at this pricepoint there are very few reasons for going with a i3 + gpu combo. the 2200/2400G allready provide that performance at a cheaper cost. you might have to get more RAM, but that will just be better for future upgrades

Frankly, I'd suggest you against getting a 1030. If you are under budget, why not look for 2nd hand graphic card? Used 960 can be had under $100 and it is much, much better card than measly 1030.

I'd also suggest against getting Ryzen 2200G. It's a low end CPU with a low end GPU. Sure, it is cheaper than 8100 + dedicated graphic cards, but performance will be worse too.

If you are on tight budget, why not grab 2nd hand parts?

That is why I suggested the 2400G, not the 2200G. The 2400G has 4 cores / 8 threads (whereas the i3 8100 has 4c/4t) and has a Vega 11 iGPU with 704 stream processors (the 2200G has a Vega 8 iGPU with 512 stream processors).

The 2200G is going to be significantly cheaper and a bit worse compared to an i3-8100+GT 1030 combo, while the 2400G is going to be cheaper and about the same performance.

Well, I never said that you suggested 2200G :P
I was against recommending 2200G because of these reasons

Sorry, I thought that you were advising against it because of the recommandations about the Raven Ridge APU that were made above. :P My bad!

I Was actually gonna do a ryzen 2200g + gt1030 combo but me and my friends think That intel cpus last much longer. That is why, also apu systems take their powers from rams.

Thankyou, Im a highschool student. That is why, plus the prices of gpu went so high so ı couldnt get a GTX, 1050Tİ. For now the 1030 is enough. Im looking for jobs and gonna work Hard for this pc :)

Later if i dont need the 1030 anymore I just sell it and get a 1050Tİ or maybe 1060.

You and your friends have outdated knowledge. The IGPU in the 2200G is almost as fast as a GT10turdy

Yeah I cant on a high budget right now. Mainly go with intel becuase the lifetime is better and longer.

2nd parts?

Yea right now I Cannot risk that becuase I have no experience of that to be honest. Main goal is to build a pc fresh and clean. Once I build it, maybe then I could check for 2nd parts.

Could be but Im building a 8gen system here. So that I wont have any problem in upgrading in future time. Yes Im aware of the power of apus.  But Im going for the i3 8100. I want to play Pubg for example but as I seen in benchmarks its a bit to much for the 2200g to handle.

Sorry to break it to you but the 2400G has a better lifespan than the 8100. Just because of the extra threads. If you are thinking about patched the AM4 plattform will recieve patches for a very long time. The last AM4 cpu will be in 2020. And you would then expect security patched untill that cpu is then irrelevant just like with Intel.

Iml you should save a buck now and put in back later as the resale value of the 1030 will get worse the longer you drag on. With the 2400G you can also grab a cpu in 2020 or 2021 from last gen without swapping GPU or ram

Don't underestimate  the RYZEN 2400g.... it even outperforms Intel's i7 4770..
