I'm building my first PC and I'm buying the parts in the next few weeks. I want to see if I'm good in terms of my components. I can't be very flexible on the price, I'm trying to stay near $850 USD (I know I don't have a cooler, I wont be doing much overclocking so I think the wraith spire should be fine)

I'd go for a ryzen 5 1400 or 1600, the 1500x is kinda pointless. also I'd say bump your gpu up to a 1050ti or a 1060-3gb if your budget allows for it.

Any reason you're not going with Ryzen 2? Also drop the thermal paste as you won't need it.

• You don't need thermal paste
• Don't get a bunch of cheap fans
• Consider stepping up to the R5 1600
• Use money saved to step up to a GTX 1050Ti

I would go with a 1050ti or 1060 but I dont think I could fit it in the budget. Also how are the on-board graphics of the AMD APU's?

The Ryzen APUs are pretty good for 1080p gaming, depending on the game you can do medium to high on most settings.
