Yeah you can, i did it just because i could but holy crap it's bad.

Like seriously, it's BAD, it usually doesn't work and in the rare case that it does it's absolute crap.

The FPS number goes up but even with freesync it feels like a stuttery mess.

I dont have a lot of experience with AMD GPU's but I'm pretty sure that you can bundle pretty much any amd gpu together.

if you have both laying arround why not try?

You can. The RX 580 will limit itself in terms of shaders and memory accessible to be like an RX 570 though.
