Sources of Royalty Free Music

Aside from Kevin MacLeod and YouTube editor, do you have any suggestions for royalty free music with different genres? Me and a friend are making a YouTube video.

I’m pretty sure Laszlo isn’t royalty free and we’re not particularly looking for EDM.

There's plenty of Youtube channels around with copyright free music. Most just require you to credit and reference the artist in exchange for using it.

If you search Youtube for copyright free music, loads of channels come up.

I’m particularly looking for actual websites with direct downloads of audio files and I don’t feel like converting a lossy video to another lossy audio format

Most of the Youtube ones have download links in the description. In terms of quantity and range, it's probably the best source.

There's Incompetech, don't know if that's the one made by Kevin MacLeod that you were talking about.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

bensound.com and nocopyrightsounds(NCS) are the ones I see recommended the most.

There's a list of usable music in the create section on your creator studio on youtube along with any requirements that you have to add to the data when uploading the video, plus there's a list of policies about what copyrighted music you can use without being hit by content ID claims, viewing restrictions and copyright strikes.
