How hard on my hardware is Folding@Home? I am trying to decide how often to run it on my daily use PC

It's not that hard. Definitely not as hard as crypto mining. I believe there is a way to set a maximum CPU Speed to prevent hardware damage.

Yeah, I'm using it at light/medium

I've used it at full for a straight week without any issues, although I'm beginning to think it's screwing with my drivers a bit and causing things(such as PUBG) to not run.

F@H will push a GPU, so expect higher temps and don't expect to run the same overclock as you do for gaming (if you overclock).

Biggest deal with anything that puts a heavy load on a GPU is be mindful of the temperature of the card.  If you worry that much about damaging the card, run the card undervolted with a TDP limit.  Yes, the points will be less, but the card will run cooler.

Are you using the latest driver?

If so, there a bit of a issue with it concerning F@H.  I know some of the other folder chaps on OCN having a bit of issues with the 391.35 driver.

I am, yeah. Might revert back to an older one if it doesn't get fixed soon.

I turn down the power limit for my GPUs by 20 to 25% in afterburner unless they have good coolers and are low power. For the CPU you can configure how many cores to use in the slots tap in the advanced UI. I've noticed that even when limiting the cores it still seems to use all cores just not as hard.
