Does this cragslist post seem like a good idea to buy?

https://evansville.craigslist.org/sys/d/6-core-i7-gaming-system-for/6559394415.html

So basically if I bought this I would take out the processor and motherboard, and switch then out with my 6700k and z170 mobo. I could sell the leftover PC to a friend or something. I found the PC on the internet by searching for segotep r35. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/GETWORTH-R35-High-End-Gaming-Desktop-Computer-Desk-I7-8700k-1060-240G-SSD-8G-RAM-Z370/32834269032.html

Its a 2 hour and 20 minute drive from me. Do you guys think this is legit? Obviously its a great price, and I would bring my own monitor/keyboard/mouse so I could make sure it has the parts it says. I noticed a few typos in the desc, like a Z230 motherboard.

I already emailed the guy and reserved one of them. Any thoughts? He clearly ordered 7 of them... Not sure why he is selling them at a fourth of the price... But I mean i'll take it right?

Scam

That's what I thought but I wasn't sure. I wish I was closer so I could make sure & test it.

Craigslist listing seems too good to be true (i.e. scam), the AliExpress listing is an absolute rip off.

The aliexpress listing is an absolute ripoff. An colorful 1060, a nobrand psu(fire hazard), Segotep case, Flashwar ssd and an id-cooling cooler? These are the cheapest components out there.

The craiglist is an absolute scam, why would someone buy 7 pc-s and just sell them for lower cost?

No the parts are cheap and it looks like a scam.  Just read the descriptions, no one selling a real computer will not list the cpu OR gpu

Try using the PSU Tier List!

So what would happen if someone were to test it?

What do you mean? I don't recommend trying to see if he is scamming you or not.

If it's too good to be true, and in this case it looks like it, then there's a good chance it's a scam. I wouldn't even play with the idea of meeting up with this person. Sounds like bait to me.

Stay well away from this. $500 for these parts (eventhough most are terrible non-brands) is ridiculous.

All you'll get from meeting them is a couple of stab wounds and you'll be down $500.

Don't even take the chance. Or, if you do go, have someone with a concealed carry permit escort you.  That sounds like something someone would pull to rob you, either by selling trash computer gear or literally robbing you.

Meet in a highly public place don't even risk testing it if you want to gamble to see if it's true.

If it's true you get lucky; if it's a scam and all the parts don't work then you're out of luck take the L.
