i am trying to decide if i should get the ryzen 3 1200 or the ryzen 3 1300x. i am new to pc building so i don't want to overclock. is the .4 ghz extra worth the 20 bucks? thanks for the help!

u can get the same amt by overclocking the original

Ryzen has a program called Ryzen Master, literally just click and OC. Got my 1600 from 3.2ghz to 3.7ghz without having to do anything other than a few clicks. No messing with voltages etc.

well it will be a bit more efficiant so you should probably overclock it a bit better and hopefully for nearly the same price. its just zen+ so its not a big jump but i would wait for it

Next generation of ryzen cpus, launching in a week or two. They should have higher clock speeds across the board for similar prices.

 

Or an 8100+H310 mobo might also be worth considering.
