Tin foil heat sink?

because I'm stupid and also maybe not, i was screwing around with hot glue and i figured out that the glue that was on tinfoil dried faster, and that got me thinking, could you make a heatsink out of tinfoil?

 

 

Would this work, and should i attempt it?

i made this complex schematic of my award-winning design(done in MS-paint)

As you can see the blue part is the CPU

the black L things are the retention clip thing

And the silver is the foil

 

What do you fine people think?

First off, that artwork, is amazing. Well done, this is the content I like to see here.

 

Second, It certainly will work, but how well, idk. Very dependant on the CPU and if you're densely packing the tin foil or not. With a fan and some mounting pressure maybe you can get a system to boot. Go for it, in the name of science.

If you have a 9590, just put a crucible on the CPU and start making some ingots with the tin foil.

The biggest challenge is probably getting good contact with the cpu.

Tin foil aka aluminum foil isn't very good for heat transfer. You see it used as insulator. Copper would be better, steel next.
