rx 580 for 1440p 60hz

Mr.Sir

I found a 580 on ebay for around $300 which is bad still even if it were new, but i couldn't find any other graphics card with the price performance ratio (980 and 1060 are the same as the 580)

, but would it perform good with hard, modern games with AA off and optimized settings at 1440p 75hz (60hz with freesync off)

The RX 580 is not a 1440p card imho and neither is a GTX 1060 6GB.

If you want solid 1440p then you'd need a GTX 1070 or RX VEGA 56.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Yes, an RX 580 will do it but I doubt it'll maintain a constant 60fps.

Especially on GameWorks titles.

would the $100 upgrade to an  1070 be really that much a difference?

It works fine at a mixture of medium and high with no AA in most games.

the 1070 is a 1440p card so I do think that if you only pay 100$ more, yes, it'll be worth it. rx580 you'll be able to do 1440p 60fps with some settings down, but with a 1070 you should be more than fine.
