Why are all 5V/3A chargers usb-c or have non-removable microusb cables?

I have a Asus Transformer Book T100 that takes a 5V/3A charge maximum but the charger it came with broke. I think it is the microusb that broke and it has a non-removable cable.  I bought another one off Amazon that also has a non-removable cable that also broke after 6 months or so. This is getting frustrating and I am sure it is the micro-usb that is breaking so I would like to buy a wall adapter that has a usb port so I can use my own microusb cables.

However, I can't seem to find any usb wall adapters that output 5V/3A. I can only find usb-c ones. Why is this? And if I buy a usb-c charger and use a usb-c to micro-usb cable, will it work??

Thanks for any help and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post, not sure where it's meant to go.

I think it's because the cables have to be a certain thickness to properly provide 3 amps, you can't just use any cable and expect fast charging so they just make them non removable

It has to do with the wire gauge. The 28 gauge in most usb cables cant handle 3a rather it's rated for 500mA, however it is used for up to 2.1A therefore it can't handle 3A
