I am going to college soon for graphic gaming and simulation programming, but I have no idea in what specs would be great for programs like maya, OpenGL, or 3D max. I had some ideas, but I settled to hear someone else’s thoughts before I make the final choice for the build. My budget is at a minimum of $1200 to $1800

P2000 won't serve him that good in gaming.  

Moverover 1080 is a beast when it comes to gaming...

Oh didn't see the gaming part. I saw the graphic gaming and thought he was gonna do some graphics rendering.
