Amd 580 or gtx 1070ti

Now hear me out, i saw in a video that the 580 strix has more fps than the msi 1070ti titanium and showed the charts, but i dont know yet, so which one should i get?

You need to find out. Look at the TDP and compare, check if you can push that ammount of power.

 

Look at benchmarks and the price and than choose what is better for you. There is no correct answer. I would use NVIDIA thought, because it has more raw brute force for the money. AMD is good, but hard to even find still, because of cryptocurrency mining - I am better off with NVIDIA, because it is cheaper and more available here.

RX-580 trades blows with the GTX 1060.

It doesn't come close to the GTX 1070 or GTX 1070 Ti...

The RX 580 competes with the GTX 1060 6GB, not the 1070 Ti. If you were comparing the 580 and 1060 I would give the nod to AMD, but there's no way when it's up against a 1070 Ti. That's tough for a Vega 56 to keep up with, let alone a 580.

Nvidia uses technologies that make some games look better. Ati uses technologies that can make for better FPS in some games. It's best to weigh your options against the games that you play and find out where the majority has the best luck and start from there...
