LG 27UD88-W vs LG 27UK850-W

Looking at one of these monitors as an upgrade from an Acer "gaming" monitor (144hz, 1ms, 1080p, TN). Don't do much gaming anymore, will mostly be watching videos and coding, with the occasional video and photo editing.

Are there any real differences between these two monitors other than one having HDR, which I heard isn't really real HDR?

Or does anybody have any other recommendations. I'm basically looking for better image quality with better colours and higher resolution. IPS is also something I'm looking for.

Though you might want 32" for better scaling. I'm using a 27" 4k display right now and it's pretty fine, though i sit close to it.

Did you end up getting the 27uk850? I'm currently looking at it right now, and just wondering what is the hdr10 like on it?
