No connection to internet, new mobo

Hey 

 

so I just upgraded some parts in my pc. 

To Asrock b350 (forgot the name)

 

 but I have a network card, that worked fine on my old board but I can’t remember how I added the drivers....

Do you remember the model of said NIC? Go to Device Manager and under Network adapters, have Windows automatically try to update the drivers for any unknown devices.

So, I’m pretty sure it’s the Realtek PCIe GBE thing.. but I’m not sure. But it seems under “other devices” there’s errors....

do I put it on a USB? How do I download it with no internet ?

ask a friend or neighbour and yes then u would have to put on a usb.

You can put the new drivers on a USB but the only way that you are going to be able to do that is with access to the internet.  Once you get everything all hooked up and going and you do get it hooked up the internet, I would suggest doing a backup of all the drivers on your machine.  Windows stores copies of all the drivers for the machine in a specific location so all you would need to do would be to copy all the files in that location to a USB and then label the USB and save it for future use if needed.  Check out the website below for a better description of where these files are located.

Ive downloaded it and installed the Drivers, and it still says no internet Access

Since you can connect to the internet via WiFi, and assuming that you are running Win10, Windows will (or should anyway) update the drivers you need.  Once that is done, then do a backup of the folder with those drivers just incase you need to cross that bridge again some time in the future where access to the internet may be a problem.  The website I posted shows where the drivers are located.

I can content to Wifi from my laptop, and I downloaded the driver files, onto a USB and put it on the Computer, I still cant connect, Like it doesnt show the list of Wifi networks, Like it should.

Just so I understand completely, you're trying to connect the PC to the internet via WiFi or cable?  If via WiFi, does your WiFi card in the PC show up in the device manager?  If the WiFi card shows up in the device manager, great.  If that is the case, you may need to "click" on the WiFi card in the device manager and "tell" it where to get the updated drivers.  Open the device manager, look down the list to "Network Adapters", right click on the WiFi card and then click on the top of the list where it says to update the driver.  When you do that, another window will pop open and then you just select the bottom choice where it says to manually select the appropriate file.  After that is done, you should be able to restart your machine and all is good.

What I’ve been doing, is my motherboard does not have a wifi chip, so I use an adapter that lets me connect with wifi. 

 

1, I think this is the PCI adapter

2, the ASRock Driver update file has no Network or PCI card driver update, unless you can find one. 

 

3, I know where to tell it to download but yes I there’s no file to set it to update 

 

 

EDIT:: Ive also just installed the Newwork card Driver... Restarted the computer still no internet

 

Does it matter what PCI slot i use? I saw someone having an error

It looks to me that all is good with the WiFi card in your system.  If that is correct, don't you have to go in to the settings somewhere and tell it to "look" for available networks?  Then once you find the network you're looking for, you have to enter the passcode from the router to get it to connect.  The passcode for my home WiFi network is on a sticker on the bottom of the router.  It's like 14, 15, or 16 characters long.

I know how to find a network.. 

The Card "is" working, But when I click the Option to look for a network, Nothing comes upp...

Normally a ton of networks should pop up.
