Hi greatest community on earth!

I am looking for a nice PSU that can fit my future build, it MUST be at least not ketchup/mustard wired (black sleeved would be perfect) , modular would be the best for me as i want a clean AF look in my Meshify C.

Those ones are the ones i am looking at:

https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438121&ignorebbr=1

https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438026&cm_re=supernova_600w-_-17-438-026-_-Product

My future build :

i5 8600k

16gb ram

1070ti

Gigabyte aorus gaming 5 mobo

ssd, hdd, 5 fans and lots of rgb.

No watercooling for now, but maybe later if the 212x doesn't do the job.

Looking for a great reliability and warranty, no need to be silent, i don't care about silence, if the noise bugs me, ill put headphones on!

Thanks all!!!!!

The B3 is a bit of a fire hazard, and the NEX is an overpriced, ancient poorly performing thing.

Assuming the budget is $140, and that you want a fully modular PSU, there's the Focus Plus Gold 550W, G2 550W, Focus Plus Gold 650/750W (they cost the same), Focus Plus Platinum 550W and RM550x. The build should pull well under 400W when overclocked, so the wattage is not an issue at all.

:)

By the way, what is eco mode??

AND power on self tester?

The eco mode is what EVGA calls their semi passive mode. That's when the fan completely stops until the PSU reaches a certain temperature.

The self tester is a glorified paperclip. It shorts two pins, allowing the PSU to power on without being connected to a system.

is it safe to say, if the power supply powers on with that glorified paperclip, that it is ok or i'm better off waiting to get all the components at the same time (assuming i'm ordering piece by piece my build)

Quick question here, and probably last one concerning PSU's.

This : https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151186

Do i buy right now??? or wait for another deal with any other brand.

I want to know if this is a trusted power supply, pretty much never heard of seasonic before, but it still an 80+ gold one so, i guess it's good.

Edit: I know the wattage is right, don't bother asking.

Yeah it means it's ok, but EVGA B3 is bad

Usually SeaSonic is a brand people fan over but some of their units are undeserving of the fanboyism, but this one is a exception. Surprised you haven't heard of it.

No, because you don't know how the voltages look.

At least you have to measure the voltages...

Of course you are!
